 After the trip to Astrid, we (Daddy, Mummy, Bestefar Me) went to "heimevernsmuseet" too see the memories from world war II in Norway. The museum is located at Akershus festning, overlooking Oslo Harbour from the fortress. |
 Inside the museum. The things the Norwegian patriots did under the war is truly remarkable! Bestefars father was one of them, and was arrested by the Germans for his illegal work to free our country during the war. Aunt Astrid was one of the lucky patriots, who managed to flee to Sweden as a refugee. Pic in the middle is an authentic photograph from the liberation of Norway in May 1945. |
