Bambi (Zande Fedha) has now been mated with Kofi-Kaloke. The mating occured on the 12th and 14th day of her season, and went without problems of any kind. We are excited to see the result of this breeding. 05.11.05 (Day 64 from 2.nd breding) Finally the long awaited day was here! After a night of nest-digging, the first pup was born at 10.20 Am; exactly one hour after her water broke. It was a lovely tricolour boy weighing 218g. The second pup was a handsome black boy weighing 248g. He arrived at 11.00 AM. The third and last pup was a dazzling red male. He arrived at 11.30 AM and weighed 226g. All the boys look fit and healthy. They are currently lying peacefully side by side drinking milk. Bambi is a bit tired, but seems very contempt and proud there she lies watching over her baby boys… The black one is named: Kingwanas Cimua Msasi. The name is Swahili og and means Congos Silent Hunter. This means Congos Bush Dog This means Congos Blazing Sun. Chaka Zulu is also a very famous øeader for the Zulu tribe. 02.12.05: They are now running around in the appartment exploring the exciting world. They have discovvered it is mighty difficult to wag the tail and walk on the same time:) They love to be cuddled, and are generous with their kisses. 01.01.06 The pups are now 8 weeks, and they all look fit and good after the Christmas celebration. Felix left to his new family today, and is allready missed even though I know he will do splendid in his new home. Chaka and Sasi will leave shortly. It is terrible to part with my litlle babies, but I know they are all going to good homes. They visisted the vet a couple of days ago, and retrieved an excellent health report. |
