News 2010

*We do not have any puppies available at the moment.
If you are looking for puppies, we highly recommend kennel
Doberguard
, who currently have a red/ white male approved by The Norwegian Basenji club.  I f you want to import, Kennel Wazin in Sweden have got some lovely red girls after Dennis still available, and Kennel Hi-Lite in Finland have got some lovely boys (red & brindle)*

08.03: Yesterday evening we took Billy Sindre with us for a walk, and visited Tara (:K. Fairy Of Tails) and her co-owner who lives just a few minutes to walk from us. We took some pics of the little sweetheart, that can be seen on her page.

Sindre was happy to see Tara again, and the happyness was eagerly returned! from Tara!

06.03:
I've updated Sindres page with pics from a lovely walk we had today. Echo pulled Sindre all the way in his sleigh :-)

06.03: Nostalgia! I've been browsing through old photoalbums, and scanned in some I'd like to share:

I believe this is one of the first dog shows I ever attended. I am showing my first basenji, Faraoland Nile Wild Indra "Shira". Judging from the clothes, we must be in the 90's *lol*

Headstudy of Shira

Myself and Shira on a weekend course at Nordenstams.

My second Basenji, Moyo. She is the full sister to our Century "Centa", but from an earler litter. She was tragically taken away from us in a terrible car accident, only 2 years old. She did in her short life manage to capture many hearts, and in addition she was BOS puppy at the Norwegian Basenji Speciality, and was awarded with CC in the adult ring.

My sweet English import "Bambi" Zande Fedha as a puppy. She is still going strong, and is as sweet as ever. She turns 7 years old this summer.

05.03:
I'd just like to share this lovely picture of a beautiful basenji. Thanks to Tatjana / Annika for the nice photos of this little girl!

Kingwanas Foxy Femme Fatale "Roxy"

03.03:

Photo greetings from Elvis
, Alli, Roxy, & Kasko, who are all doing fine!

01.03:
Now Elvis has also left the nest to his new home, and it is so quiet here without the puppies. I have posted some new pics of Elvis and Sindre.
Even though posting pics. etc seems meaningless when a dear basenji-friend just lost her lovely 16 year old daughter. There is no deeper sorrow. My thoughts and praiers are with you. Always!

24.02:
Sindre is proud to announce that Lythwood Shetland Sheepdog kennels in England has named a promising young puppy male after him! Meet Lythwood Sindre:

Sindre himself has been on a carneval in the kindergarden today. You can see the pics here.

09.02: The General
is at the moment living at Kennel Doberguard, where he will stay for a few days until Jeanette drives over to Sweden to pick up her "Phantom" and deliver the General :-)
The General sent us a small greeting, where he tells us he is truly enjoying the "luxury hotel", where he gets served 6 meals a day (4 with good food, and 2 with hot milk from foster- mummy Choco)
He thanks Choco for the hospitality by offering MANY kisses!
Thank you sooo much for taking care of little General a few days, Erling, Jeanette & Choco! (Pic. to the left showing The General along with Choco and her puppies.)

Now, we only have two pups left here, as Roxy left with Annika yesterday. Thank you for the overnight visit, Annika! It was so nice to meet you again :-)

We have also gotten a new greeting from Kasko in his new home:

Kasko

We have even gotten a greeting from Echo's 1 year old son Balder:

08.02: Esther,
the movie star! This saturday, she was a statist at a childrens program, showed at NRK (our national non-comercial channel)
You can see her HERE (she appears on and off between  09.00 -12.00 min in the clip)

We would also like to congratulate Annika (Ashiki Basenjis) with a new homepage! It's very nice! (She is here today, picking up sweet Roxy!)

07.02: We took our 4 remaining puppies on a "socialisation-trip" to Erling & Jeanette at Kennel Doberguard, where they got to play with the 4 Doberguard pups.
It was so nice to see them all play around, having fun!
Thank you so much for your hospitality, it is always sooo nice to visit! We have updated the pages of FoxyThe General , Sahara and Groovy  with pictures from today. We also have a small selection of pics to share here:

Puppies from three different  litters playing and having fun!

Doberguard's Coconut Clown- a BEAUTIFUL puppy! Sindre with the puppies at right.

06.02:
Now we only have 4 puppies left here. It is both a bit sad, and a bit nice at the same time. Having 11 puppies (and a baby) at once was LOADS of hard work, but every little yodel, every little wagging tail, every cute face, every excited and content new owner makes it ALL worth while! It is lovely getting report that all the pups that's left has settled nicely in their new homes. The pups that are still here at the moment are: Foxy (from Lunas litter). She will be picked up this monday, while The General and Sahara will leave for their homes monday the 15th. Due to change of plans, the handsome GROOVY is still looking for a loving home of his own. This boy is very special, and is very handsome too! He should be suitable for a show home. We might be interested in co-ownership if the right home appears.

Kingwanas Groovy Maguire- looking for a new home!

We have also gotten a greeting from Kasko in his new home!

Kasko

Congratulations, SUNNY (Aus Gr. Champion Afrikenji Hot SumaKnight)
for being nb. 1 Basenji in Australia 2009, as well as nb 6 hound in Victoria!  This is quite an achievement, Australia being a BIG continent, inhabited by quite a lot of Basenjis! He has beaten over 2000 other  hounds, and almost 500 Basenjis!! Sunny has won over 200 (!) BEST OF BREED wins in his carreer, as well as many GROUP and BIS wins/ placements! Sunny is the sire of our E-litter and our darling "Kee-Kee" (Doberguards Master Key To Kingwana), and the Grand-sire of our G-litter. We are so proud to include him in our Kingwana lines.

There are also various pics of ALL the puppies (taken by Marit) on their individual pages. Thank you so much, Marit!

Puppy playtime

Dennis- a Monster from above?? *lol* He is WONDERFUL with the pups.

Billy doesn't look a tad better, but even he is SUCH a great "foster dad", letting the pups climb all over his big coat.

I am stronger than you!

Let's carry this Teddy over there and kill him, brother!

Dennis tries to stand nicely for a treat, Mille tries to sit nicely, and Kasko is just in the way.

25.01: We have had some puppy buyers visiting again, and it is always so nice. I am (as I've said previously) overwhelmed with the VERY nice families offering their home and love for our babies. I am certain they will all go to the best care and recieve (and give) plenty of love.
I have recieved some pics from one of the last visitors, Anette Vindvik,
You can see her photos HERE.

22.01: 6 week photos of the G-litter has been posted. We have also gotten the Fanconi test results for this litter. There were more carriers then we hoped for, but it is good to know no one will get affected (as we knew before the breeding occured).
The result (G-Litter):

Red Boy: Clear
Black Boy 1: Indeterminent between clear/carrier
Black Boy 2: Carrier
Red girl 1: Indeterminent between clear/ carrier
Red girl 2: Carrier
Black girl: Carrier

Some of the puppies owners has been published. The rest will be published/decided on Sunday or early next wee
Herewith are some pics of all 11 puppies:

20.01:
New pics of the F-litter has been posted! Having 11 puppies at this age is great fun. And LOADS of work. Not only do they produce massive amounts of *youknowwhat* but they also demand individual cuddeling and training- which they all get, keeping us occupied pretty much all day :-) It is worth it when you see the wagging tails, the ears rolled back, the tiny little licking tongue not to mention PUPPY YODELS!
Pile of puppies:

How many can you see?

17.01:
In Letohallen this weekend Kee-Kee (Doberguard's Master Key To Kingwana) was BOB on Saturday under judge Denis Kuzelj. She was picked out in the "semi-finals" (top 6 ) in the group, but not placed among the top 4.
On Sunday, she was 2nd best bitch with CC.
Co-owner Astrid handled her both days. Well done, girls!!

Astrid with her Kee-Kee!

15.01:
5 week photos of the G-litter has been posted.

14.01:
The two litters has been allowed to meet, and they just love to play together!
I have made two videos of the litters:
Video of Sindre with the puppies (and Sindre walking!).
Video of both litters playing together!

12.01:
New pictures has been posted of the F-litter. All the puppies have now been preliminary booked to very good and loving homes. I must say I feel very blessed with all of our puppy buyers, who all seem to truly understand the breed and seem ready to offer them truly wonderful homes. It makes us as breeders feel the burden of having to see all of our "babies" go so much easier :-)
It is a real puzzle placing 11 different puppies to the right home, so there might still be changes.
Many are going out in the show ring, and all are going to be highly beloved family members!
If you are looking for puppies, I highly recommend kennel Bushongo and kennel Doberguard, who currently have available puppies.

Oh, and I just have to share this picture of Sindre and Mille playing.

08.01:
Greeting form Dennis' girls born at kennel Wazin!

Wazin G-litter after Ch Wazin Red Evita & Multi Ch Kingwanas Dinari.

08.01:
A new photoshoot of Milles litter has been posted today.I tried to stack them, but they are still too young. I did take some "free- stacked" photos, though.
We have had  some puppybyers on visit, and it is always so nice to have them over! The puppies love to climb all over them! Ihave also posted some "fun-pics" from Lunas litter.

Gunn with her lap full of Lunas babies. One of the girls will follow her home in about a month.

05.01:
New pics has been posted of the F-litter. They are just soo cute now! The ears are starting to get up, as are the tails. They are much more social, and wag their little tail as I walk in...
Milles litter are also wagging their little tails. I love to see the little differences between the litters. Milles litter talk much more then Lunas litter. Lunas litter are more active at the moment, but that is only natural as they are older. Pictures of Milles liter will be posted in a few days.

Playing with Sindre. They all LOVE it!

01.01:
We start the new year with videos of both litters:
Lunas litter 0-3 weeks
Milles litter 0-3 weeks
