31.12: It's the last day in 2009, and we celebrate with new pics of both litters.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Thank you, Ellen for the nice pics!

29.12:
At the Christmas show in Letohallen, we decided to show Echo (n u Ch Bulldobas Echo Of Kenya) again, and he did quite well going 2nd best male with Ck (Excellent). Kee-Kee (Doberguard's Master Key To Kingwana) behaved as beautiful as ever, but was beaten by her beautiful sister "Maya".
Her brother "Nicki" was even BOB! Congraulations, owner/breeder Jeanette!
We had such a god time at the show, you can read more about it in my blog.

28.12:
Echo became a father today! Zina "NV-07 Bulldobas Glory Days" was a very clever girl and had 5 beautiful puppies! 1 black/ white boy, 2 tricolor boys (!), 1 black/white girl and 1 red/white girl! I was so excited to see they got tricolor puppies! Echo welcomes his kids in the "rainbow-litter" to the world:

28.12: New litter picture of both litters.

27.12:
A small video of Sindre dancing with the Moose that sings in the rain ( a present fom Wenche & Baard) the Basenjis sing-along!

26.12:
Indiviual photos of both litters (taken by Ellen Kvernmo)has been taken. The camera was almost on strike for some og Milles pups, but new pics will come on friday :-)

25.12: Christmas eve has passed, and we had a lovely celebration! The best present was that Sindre took his first steps! You can read more in my Blog.
The pups are doing just great, gaining loads of weight and looking real good. Lunas puppies have just opened their eyes, and Mille's are not far behind.
After the show in Letohallen (29th-30th) they will move home to us along with their mummies! I am soo looking forward to it, even though it will be a lot of work with 11 puppies!
I've posted group-photos of both litters (taken by Ellen Kvernmo) individual shots will come shortly!
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the holiday, and that you had a splendid celebration on Christmas eve/ morning.

19.12:
The puppies are growing fast, and gaining loads of weight. Both Mille and Luna are superb mothers for their babies. We had a new photoshoot of the G-litter today, as they were one week old. Pics can be found on their site.

Kingwanas General Hits The Target is taking a roll.

Faithful Valentine & Fabulous Unicorn.

15.12: We have now named all the puppies of our G- and F- litters. It has not been decided what pup will get which name, but these are the names that will be swapped between them:
The G litter all got names from their pedigree:

The boys:
Kingwanas Groovy Maguire (After their daddy Jasiri-Sukari Juri Maguire)
Kingwanas Gentle WinterKnight (After their maternal grand-dad Afrikenji Hot Sumaknight)
Kingwanas General Hits The Target (After their paternal grand-dad Sukaris Spot The Target & Jasiris General Delivery)

The girls:
Kingwanas Glory Of The Spotlight (After their gr. grand dad Djakombas Spotlight)
Kingwanas Greatest Story Of All (After their mother Kingwanas Entertaining Story)
Kingwanas Galactic Century (After their maternal grandmother)

The F-litter got some names from their pedigree, and some names I just happen to love:

The boy:
Kingwanas Flirting Figaro (Named After their mother Bulldobas Be My Valentine)

The girls:

Kingwanas Fairy Of Tails (Named after their father Meisterhaus Tail Of Intrigue)
Kingwanas Faithful Valentine (Named After their mother Bulldobas Be My Valentine)
Kingwanas Foxy Femme Fatale (Just cause she looks like one)

Kingwanas Fabulous Unicorn (named after the poem below)

Pic in the background is of the pups grandmother "Centa".

14.12:
A Christmas greeting from Echo's girlfriend Zina- who went to X-ray today, where they saw 5 puppies! We can't wait to see them!

Chilli and pregnant Zina

13.12: Dennis became a father again tonight, to 5 beautiful red/ white girls! Huge congratulations to kennel Wazin!

5 red/
white puppy girls sired by Dennis born at Kennel Wazin.

12.12:
The puppies are all gaining weight and looking good! I have written a bit more about the puppy-deliveries in my blog.

11.12:
Only 3 days after Luna had her puppies, it was Milles turn. She had a very long birth, that started at 10.15 AM today, and ended at 5.00 PM. The result was 6 healthy, good looking puppies. 2 red/white girls, 1 black/white girl, 2 black/ white boys and 1 red/white boy. She even had a seventh (handsome boy) but it was sadly still born. Most likely due to the very long delivery. You can see them all on their new page!
We are however more than pleased with this litter, and will bring weekly updates on both our litters! We are working on the names, and they should be published shortly!

The 6 new residents in the Kingwana pack! Boy- Girl-Boy-Girl-Girl-Boy

09.12:
Lunas puppies are here!!! They were born last night. The first girl came yesterday at 11.50 PM, and the rest followed quickly, with about 30 min. between them.
The last
puppy was born today at 3.00 AM today.. so the question is... what will be their birth-date, as they are born on different dates?
They were very even in weight, weighing between 195-210 g.
Thew all have white collars and nice blazes. Have a look at their site!

Lunas litter 1 day old.

07.12: It is not long until the puppies will come now... My guess is that we'll have two litters by the end of this week:

Luna
on day 59, Mille on day 56-57.

01.12: The girls are growing bigger each day... Here they are ralaxing in front of the fire:

Mille on day 49, Luna on day 52

30.11:
We were at the Norwegian Winner show all weekend (thursday-sunday) as Dag Christer was the technical arranger of the show. It was a HUGE show, with not only 6500 show-dogs, but also obedience, agility, shows, rescue dogs, stands, fly-ball, freestyle + + + Soo much to watch! There were no titles for our dogs this year, but we had a great time nevertheless, and I am overly proud of Dag Christer who managed to contribute to making this such a good event. Dennis even surprised me with his agility talent! I had no idea he had a natural talent for it! My instructor didn't believe he had never trained Agility before. He just flew through all the obsticals perfectly, and with great eagerness and speed. I am seriously considering to retire him from the show ring and start competing in Agility *lol*.
After we had finnished our round on the agility course, he even yodeled with joy! My sweet boy!

30.11:
The ultrasound showed that the girls would most likely have 2 pups each. They were growing HUGE, making us a bit worried we might get some enormous pups, so we x-rayed the girls today... There are 6-7 little ones waiting to come out from Mille and 5-6 in Luna!

23.11:
New pics of our pregnant girls.

Mille is here on day 42, Luna on day 45.Only 2-3 weeks to go now!

23.11:
Dennis
would like to congratulate his girlfriend "Deci" with 5 beautiful puppies last night. He yodels a huge "welcome to the world" to his 5 new babies:

1 red/white girl, 2 brindle/white girls, 2 red/white boys.

22.11:

20.11:

09.11: We had a great time on the show in Letohallen this weekend. It couldn't have started better. Dennis didn't only win the breed, he even won the group and was finally BEST IN SHOW-2! There were approx. 1500 dogs entered this day...
Sunday was very rewarding as well. as litle Kee-Kee beat many nice bitches and went BOS with her first CC! Congrats co-owner Astrid and breeder Jeanette.

31.08:
We had another double nat. all breed show this weekend. Even though I was a bit dissapointed about Mille BARELY missing her champion title, one step behind the CC both days, I must say I am overly pleased with the results overall!
It
was extra fun that Kee-Kees grandmother Primetime Out Of Africa took a BIS 2 veteran placement the same day as her granddaughter took a BIS-2 puppy placement! The previos day Kee-kees brother placed as BIS-3! It runs in the family? Speaking of family,
I have
of course got to mention that Kingwanas Epic Walkabout is now a new Nowegian champion!! Congratulations Ida!! Dennis' BIG-2 placement can't be left unsaid either.
Another fun fact, is that Kee-Kees' breed judge on sunday (Inger Dahle) said that Kee-Kee gave her SUCH a good impression of the Basenji, as she had been quite sceptic since her last encounter with a Basenji in the ring wasn't too positive. Kee-Kee is such a happy little girl, she gives most everyone a great impression!

The show in
Drammenwas quite big, with approx 800 adults and 200 puppies entered both days. Tha fact that the Basenjis overall did SO well in the finals speaks for itself about the quality of our Basenjis? Or perhaps the judges at this show just loved the breed in general. Can't say I blame them.

Moss HK nat. dogshow. Our little famliy with all the doggies went to Moss for the weekend. We were only showing our dogs on sunday, but arrived on saturday to spend te evening with some good friends. Thanks Kurt & Grete for the hospitlity!
At the show
on sunday, I noticed once more that the judge (Claudio De Giuliani) was a very tight judge, handing out several 2nd and even 3rd quality prizes to many dogs of different breeds. Again, ALL Basenjis present got a 1st prize in quality- again showing the quality of our Norwegian Basenjis.

Sweet Kee-Kee was first out in the ring, and behaved splendidly as usual. She is just such a joy to handle! She was awarded BOB puppy with the following critique:

"Right
size & type. Elegant in gen. apperarence. Exc. dark eyes.
Right
ears. Well comp. body. Right topline. Enough shoulder angulation.
Good chest for age. Right movement in sideview, enough paralell.
Righ coat & color. Very promising."

She was later BIG-2 in a tough group.

Dennis
was 2nd best male, also with an excellent critique.

two best males, N u Ch Matabichi Chacha Bintu & Nord u Ch NV-08 Kingwanas Dinari.

Esther on the table

Little Esther was also there, and got a very nice critique and a 1st quality award, even though she did not want to show the judge her movement.
Her
owner Gunn works at the Norwegian veterinary school, where she uses Esther as a "test- dog" for veterinary pupils. They get to examin her, lay her out to practise x-ray positioning etc. I was amazed of the things she would let anyone do with her!
Gunn gave
us a little demonstration:

Esther
lies down to be "examined". The bones can be stretched in either direction as she lays perfectly still.

Stretching a bit more here & there, and up in the air.

X-ray position, and done! Good girl :-)

was of course also attending. Our happy little man!

Result wise it was quite OK, with Dennis going R- best male with only champions in front of him. There was this srange spot on the show ground he did not want to walk on at all. Huh. My strange little guy.

08.07:
We have posted a new planned litter after Echo on his stud page.

05.07: This weekend, we were at a nat. all breed show in Våler, Norway. Yesterday,

Dennis was 2nd best male, while little Kee-Kee was BOB & BIG-3 puppy with the following critique;
"Excellent quality. Feminin with the corr. expression. Good proportions in body, corr tailcarriage, moves excellent. Elegant bitch."
Kee-Kee's
brother Gacoki was BOS puppy. He is such a handsome lad!

Kee-Kee BOB, Gacoki BOS puppy.                   Kee-Kee BIG-3 puppy
The breed judge was Sigridur Petursdottir and the Group judge was Mona Selbach.

Gacoki & Sindre relaxing.

Today Dennis was awarded  best male & BOS, while little Kee-Kee was BOS puppy. However, because the show arrangers had not informed us about a judge-change of our breed and we didn't become aware of this until after the judging, most of the Basenji handlers, myself included, decided to annull the result and have a money refund. Even though we did indeed get nice results, it is a matter of principle. These things shouldn't happpen. You are ofcourse intitled to know who is judging, and to be able to trust that the judge who has been put to judge your breed is indeed the person ending up to judge.

Doberguard's Master Gacoki with his feeder/ scratcher / mummy Lill sitting ringside.

Other than this little mix-up from the show arrangers, it was a very nice show, and we all had a great time. Once again, I must say that the social part is indeed the best thing about dog shows. We BBQ'd, talked, danced and even yodeled our way into the night.
Live
music and a big beer tent is an example to be followed by other show arrangers.
Thank you so much Erling, Jeanette, Kari, Svein, Lill + sister, Gerd & Thor for a fantastic weekend we'll never forget. Looking forward to a repetition!

03.07: Yesterday, we had a lovely walk around Sognsvann. We even bumpet into Norways prime minister Jens Stoltenberg who seemed to like our doggies and wished us a nice summer! Geeh... why didn't we take a picture??
Anyways- Dennis is just crazy about water, and swam quite a bit, he jumped out in every little creek he found on our way around the lake. He is just so cute! Who sais Basenjis don't like water, huh?
Sindres
July album is also updated with amongst others a visit to the courthouse.

Mille
was beautifully handled by Wenche Enger. Thank you so much for a job well done!

After the show, we headed towards Folldal and the cottage in the Rondane Mountains. We had some WONDERFUL days with long hikes in the mountains along with good friends, family and of course the doggies Dennis, Mille, Luna & Echo.
You can see loads of pics from this wonderful little vacation of ours HERE, and even more in Sindre's June album.

After our little mountain trip, we headed on towards NKK Trondheim, where Dennis was 2nd best male with res. Cacib, and Mille got 1st in quality and 2nd in her class. Little Luna got high praise from the judge, but was a bit too small for him.

08.06: Greetings from young Kee-Kee, who is training to be a tracking dog, and proving to have a natural talent for it:

06.06: We had a wonderful day at NKK int. show in Drammen, where we also celebrated Dag Christer's birthday with presents, flowers and of course a birthday cake!

I have
also published a new picture of Bono on his page.

01.06: We have just been to the Norwegian Speciality, and had a great time at the show.
Mille (Kingwanas Entertaining Story) was second on open female class with CK, and placed as 4th best bitch.
Bono (Kingwanas Epic Walkabout) won open class male with CK.
Dennis (Nord Ch NV-08 Kingwanas Dinari) was 4th in the champion class and was also the yodeling champion of the show. The boy truly can yodel!
Luna (Bulldobas Be My Valentine) was 4th in Intermediate class with HP.
Kee-Kee was 3rd in her class, beaten by Echo's daughter "Holly" and her sister "Maya".
Every one of them with wonderful critiques!
I
also have to congratulate Kee-Kees sister Maya with BEST OF SEX puppy! It was her first show as a pup, and she goes BOS at our spediality, just like her half sister Mille went BOS at our speciality last year at her first show as an adult.
It runs in the
family?
Congratulations also to all other winners!

All in all, I must
say I am very pleased with the results, but most of all because we really did have a great time along with good friends.

I have
made a picture story of our speciality HERE.

Stay tuned for a video from the show!

26.05:

This
lovely little bitch is of one of Echos beautiful daughters "Maya"!

pic is taken by her owner Douglas Falk. You can visit Doug and his Dog on this page.

I
would also like to share a little picture of my boys relaxing:

Dag, Sindre & Dennis

Now we are counting down the days to the Norwegian Speciality show! I am really looking forward to see so many of my basenji friends + their basenji companions there.

20.05: Summer greetings from Kee-Kee who is chasing ducks and wading in tha water, and also from Centa- whom at 6 years old is still looking great (both pics are taken with mobile phone cam. thereof the quality)

               Kee-Kee
wading in the water.                           Centa out on a walk.

17.05: Norways national day. The doggies were dressed up wearing ribbons in our national colours, and we had a lovely walk in the sunshine before we went (without the dogs) to watch the childrens parade in Oslo. Loads of pics in Sindres may album.
There is even a video from the celebration on his page.

Out in our garden before departure. Both I and Sindre are wearing Bunads.

13.05: I have made a page about my previous horses and carreer as a competitive show jumper. The link has been placed in the about us page. Alternatively, you can go directly to the new "horse page" by clicking HERE.

Shira was quite a good rider.

09.05: Today we went to Skaraborg Nat. dogshow in Larv/ Sweden. There was quite a large entry of 22 Basenjis, under the Swedish judge Karl-Erik Johansson.
Dennis (Nord Ch NV-08 Kingwanas Dinari) won the open class male with CK , and was in the best male finals placed as 3rd best male with CC,  gaining his Swedish & Nordic champion title.
Mille (Kingwanas Entertaining Story) didn't do any worse, as she won open class female, and placed as 3rd best bitch with her Swedish CC.
So, all in all,
we must say we are very pleased with the result of the day: 2 x CC and 1 x New Swedish & Nordic Champion.
It
was also very nice to meet so many of the swedish Basenji enthusiasts.                               Dennis thanking the judge for his new title

Milles critique from the show:
"Mentality: Excellent, Very nice head with      enough wrinkles. Nicely placed ears. Good bite. Dark eyes. Beautiful topline and arch of neck. Excellent tail. Good depth of chest. Good angulations. Ground winning movements."

26.04: Another great show weekend has come to an end. This was sweet Kee-Kees (Doberguard's Master Key To Kingwana) show debut, and she did a fantastic job. She walked and stacked a like a queen, but was placed as 2nd best bitch both days, after a lovely looking little bitch from Chagma. We are nevertheless very pleased with darling Kee. I have realry seen such a happy little pup. She didn't even seem to know what "growling" means. She just wagged her tail and practically smiled at everyone and everything.

Dennis (N Fin Ch NV-08 Kingwanas Dinari) also did a fantastic job, going BOB on Saturday under judge Viva Maria Soleckey Szpunar with the following critique:
"
Beautiful head, lovely neck. Very stylish topline, beautiful hind legs and angulations. Excellent front". The judge even came up to me later on and said "Aren't you the one with the handosme Basenji?" And continued bragging about our boy. It was a HUGE group, and he was picked out as one of 6 in the "semi finals", but was short listed for a placement in the group. I didn't show my adult girls today. BOS and a NEW NORWEGIAN CHAMPION was Kee-Kees mummy Dee-Dee ( Matabichi Dee-Dee Dazzling Diamond)! Congrats!

On
sunday, both Dennis and Mille winded up as 3rd best bitch/male with Ck (CQ) and little Luna got a first quality and 2nd in class placing. I was actually quite nervous before I entered the ring, because I noticed by watching the breeds that were in the ring before us that the judge  (Svend Løvenkjær) was an extremely tight judge. Several breeds went without a BOB dog at all, as NONE got CQ. Several 2nd and even 3rd prize in quality very ahanded out.
Out of the 8 Basenjis entered 6 got CQ and the two remaining got a 1st inquality, so once again it strikes my that the quality of our Basenjis here in Norway is really excellent!
Pic. illustration above: It is not always easy when you are walking in different directions! (Myself & Dennis)

Sindre (aka. MiniYodel) also tagged along, and he seems to really enjoy himself at the showground. Steinar Balken (Jr. handling coach) is already requesting his entery to his handling classes *lol*.
When I handled the doggies in the ring, ha sat very comfortably on "uncle" Baards lap. He was extremely fascinated by him, and couldn't take his eyes off him. Pure admiration?  He also followed the action in the ring closely.
Thank you to all the lovely bunch of Basenji enthusisats for a fantastic weekend. Even though whoever wins changes, the main thing is after all to have a great time together with fellow enthusiasts and our dogs, and to work together for the best of OUR breed.
Thanks also to Soppen & Astrid for pictures!

19.04: We got reports that Bono (Kingwanas Epic Walkabout) became

Huge
congratulations to Bonos owner Ida Ottemo, and of course Hansu & Janne with Tuulis Norwegian Champion title!

18.04: We went to a national Lure Coursing competition in Trøgstad today, where Dennis
(N Fin
Ch NV-08 Kingwanas Dinari) Took his LURE COURSING LICENCE!!
He is the first Norwegian Basnenji to achieve this. We are of course proud of our boy!
We can't compete in Norway yet, but we are working on it, so that we can compete here shortly. We are however allowed to compete in for instance Finland and Sweden, now that he is licenced.
You can see a video of Dennis' licence race by clicking HERE:

15.04: New health result: Mille's (Kingwanas Entertaining Story) fanconi test results came back as "Probobly clear/ normal for fanconi syndrome". As she comes from a clear x clear combination we are not surprised, but it is nevertheless great to get it confirmed! Milles total health results so far are:

Fanconi: Probobly clear
Hips: A/A (
Excellent)
Normal
Thyroid levels (T4/T3)
Tgaa Negative
Eyes: All
clear (April 2009)

It can't get any better than that, now can it?

14.04: I would just like to share this little "creation" I made of our Bambi running towards a little African girl. Photoediting is really great fun:

12.04: We have had our annual easter trip to Jeanette & Erling (kennel Doberguard), along with Wenche & Baard (kennel Vicita). We had a really great time. Thank you so much for a very lovely meal/ evening! It is always great to spend time among friends. Especially Basenji enthusiasts!

05.04: We wish you all a HAPPY EASTER!

04.04: New health result: Mille (Kingwanas Entertaining Story) was eye-examined today with the result: All clear! Now we are just awaiting her fanconi test-results. She comes from a clear x clear breeding fanconi wise, but we have tested her nevertheless, just to be on the "safe" side.
We have also made a new picture pedigree for the upcoming litter!

30.03: Little "Limpan" from GoiGoi near Gothenburg in Sweden is still searching for his very own home! Can you offer this handsome son of Echo a loving home?
Contact us by mail, or contact his breeder Gunilla at the GoiGoi site.

26.03: Some new pictures have been added to the March album in Sindres page.

Notice the Basenji embroided in Sindres wagon!

22.03: Yesterday, the charming trio Nicki, Maya and Kee-Kee came to visit us along with their owners Astrid, Jeanette & Erling.
We had a great time with dinner, photographing and chatting. It is sooo nice to have the house filled with wee puppies again. They are just sooo lively, funny and FULL of energy! Even though the massive amounts of energy sort of had a negative impact on my plants *lol* To look at the bright side, I believe my plants were in need of some cutting.
Dag's parents also stopped by for a little while, and Helge (who is a FCI approved judge) really liked their type. The pups also got some additional show training, as Helge examined them and looked at their teeth on the table. They all behaved very well!
Kee-Kee is
soooo much in love with Sindre, and hardly wanted to leave him alone. Except for when she was allowed to sleep by Astrid's lap. (--->)
We followed up with some photographing and loads of chatting. All in all it was a very nice evening!

Some pictures:

15.03: Today we went to visit Kee-Kee and Astrid! It was so nice to meet them both again.
Kee-Kee has
got to be one of the happiest little puppies I've seen. She was so happy she nearly "took of" like helicopter the way she wagged her tail.
She was particularly happy to meet Sindre again, she just wanted to kiss him ALL the time. Sindre didn't mind the extra attention :-)
Loads of pictures of the little beauty on her page.

09.03: New health result: Mille's (Kingwanas Entertaining Story) hip-result came back as an "A" (Excellent).
.....

We have also changed a bit on the About Us page, and finally added a page for our Shetland Sheepdog Billy.

08.03: Sindres baptism (dåp) was held today in Lunner Kirke. You can see the pictures from this event in Sindres March Album. You can also see a video of Sindre's Godfather and uncle Phillip who sings for the little one HERE.

There are also some updates on Sindres Family Tree.

....
Last
friday we drove over to Sweden to visit Echo's puppies at kennel WildPearl and Gunilla Sandberg. It was so nice to see them! I must say I was quite pleased with both litters. They all had excellent bone-structure and angualtions, beautiful heads and mighty charming characters!
We brought 3 of the pups with us back to Norway. From Kennel Wildpearl, we brought:
Wildpearls Ashley Of Echo - "Jenny" A black/ white girl who now lives in Haugesund.
Wildpearls April Of Echo-  A red/white girl who now lives in Tvedestrand.
From
Gunilla Sandberg we brought the handsome black/ white boy : Sting "Balder" (pictured---->)

who now lives in Oslo. We wish all the new owners of both these pups who has gotten lovely homes in Norway, and the new owners of the pups sold in Sweden the best of Luck with the little charmers by Echo.
If you are interested in a pup from these litters, Gunilla still has one lovely black boy, and WildPearl still have 2 handsome black boys for sale to loving homes.

27.01: I received this lovely little story of one of Amy's doings again. The Norwegian version has been put under "Hva er en Basenji", whilst I have permitted myself to translate it into English, so that even the international readers on this site can enjoy this little story of the everyday-life with a Basenji in the house:

"For the first time in my life, I purchased two of those "Squeeky" toys for my doggies last Christmas (2008), with the hope that they might amuse my flatcoated retriver a bit. The poor over- energic rascal needs all the entertainment he can get the 2 days a week both I and my husband are away for work (we normally have home offices, so I do think the doggies are quite lucky that way).

The squeeky toys were not any direct hit with the doggies. Little Basenji found them to be completely un- interesting, and the flat didn't chew on them hard enough for them to make a sound. When I made them squeak for him, he found them to be quite scary (he is most definatly not the bravest dog you'll see). After a little while, though, things started to loosen up when the flat realized he could make the toys squeek by stepping on them, and I , in all my stupidity, encouraged him further by rewarding him for every squeak...

Today, both my husband and I had been away for work, and before I left, I placed the two squeaky toys on the floor so that the flat would have something to play with (along side with the other toys). When I returned home again after work, I found the two squeaky toys placed neatly on my window-shelf in our living room. Our windows are  quite high set on the wall, so I was really puzzled as to how they had ended up there. It really was a mystery!

Oh well, I didn't think to much about it, and placed the toys back on the floor where a happy flat started to step on them so that they
squeeked. The little Basenji (who up until this point had been comfortably lying in front of the hot fire-place) reacted immediately, and rushed over to the flat- who backed of 5 feet. The little Basenji took first the hamburger squeaky ( a beauuutiful plastic hamburger- double cheeseburger with dressing!) walked over to the window, and placed it neatly on the shelf. She then repeated the procedure with the other toy ( a poison- green bone), before she returned to her spot in front of the fire, and released a satisfied sigh of well- being. Mystery solved!
As evil as I am, I took the toys down and gave them to the flat once again, and the little Basenji repeated the whole charade.
So then I thought- as the evil Basenji owner I am-
thar this ought to be captured on film. I find my camera, and place the squeeky toys on the floor once again, but now the little Basenji didn't bother to care any more. She just stayed put on her spot, while she kept sending our flat "the ugly eye...". I guess she just doesn't care much for those toys...."

23.01: We have received this wonderful photo of Loke (Jww-08 Kingwanas Exhausting Federal Xpress) and his best- buddy Robin (4 years old). They have also gotten themselves their very own webpage! Have a look HERE. The link has also been added to our linkpage.

Doberguard's Master litter. One of the 3 girls will join the Kingwana team :)

Sindre also enjoyed visiting the Basenji babies:

Wenche, Me & Sindre sitting ringside. As an anekdote, Sindre is wearing the same clothes as
his father did some 30 + years ago; they are made by his grand-ma.

 You can see more
pics of him at the show in his PAGE (in the January album. His "pedigree" is also updated) We also had a great time with all of our Basenji friends. Thanks to both Jeanette, Kari, Svein, Wenche, Gerd, Kicko, Jørn & Dorthe for a wonderful time and help both with Sindre, Dogs and photographing. It is so great when we all stick together!

Dennis
